Wayne Lai happy to get TV King nomination

17 Dec – Wayne Lai is elated to be nominated again as TV King this year after so long.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who appeared at the press conference held by the broadcaster to announce this year's nomination list for the TVB Anniversary Awards, shared that he has no confidence at all at winning the said accolade for the fourth time, but thankful to be nominated anyway.

"The nomination is the best kind of recognition. There were various kinds of dramas this year, and many strong opponents. Everyone performed very well. It will all depend on the audiences' taste and the judges' deliberation," he said.

It is noted that Wayne was nominated in the category for his role in his comeback series, "Death by Zero". His co-star Moses Chan is also nominated alongside him. He has won the said title three times throughout his career for his role in "Rosy Business" (2009), "No Regrets" (2010), and "The Confidant" (2012).

The two actors will be facing tough competition from the likes of other stars, including Kenneth Ma ("Line Walker 3"), Vincent Wong ("Legal Mavericks 2020"), and Shaun Tam ("Brutally Young").

The upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards will be held on 10 January 2021.
