WATCH: Johnny Depp in new Murder on the Orient Express trailer

We have a new Murder on the Orient Express trailer, where the gangster Ratchett (Johnny Depp) takes centre stage.

The first trailer was largely focused on world-famous detective Hercule Poirot (Kenneth Branagh, who is also directing). This time round, the focus is on three characters (and murder suspects): Ratchett, the governess Mary Debenham (Daisy Ridley) and the widow Mrs Hubbard (Michelle Pfeiffer).

Despite his recent financial troubles and successive box office failures, Depp (last seen in Pirates of the Caribbean 5) is undoubtedly still a star, with his devilish smile and menacing demeanour. Ridley and Pfeiffer more than hold their own as well, with the latter bringing (arguably) the greatest star power to the movie.

It’s a murder mystery thick with intrigue, and we can’t wait to see it.

Murder on the Orient Express opens in Singapore on November 9.
