Watch Some Lego Lovin' in a New 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Spoof
Does seeing Fifty Shades of Grey re-enacted by Legos make it seem cute and innocent — or even more naughty? You be the judge. Lego wizards Antonio and Andrea Toscano have given the brick treatment to the Fifty Shades trailer with their new shot-by-shot remake (above). Called Fifty Shades of Bricks, the video features Lego re-creations of Christian Grey’s luxurious penthouse and “playroom,” some light plastic bondage, and a full-on Minifigure make-out session in an elevator. (Will those two pieces of plastic have more chemistry than film stars Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson? That’s the billion-dollar question.) The Toscanos, whose Guardians of the Galaxy trailer was a big hit last year, aren’t the first YouTube filmmakers to create a more playful interpretation of the year’s steamiest trailer. An ingenious mash-up of the Fifty Shades trailer with scenes from Frozen, posted by a YouTube user in August, has been viewed over 4 million times.
