Warren Sapp Attacked by Shark While Looking for Lobsters

Poor Warren Sapp — all he wanted was a lobster dinner, and he ended up being a meal for a shark himself.

Former NFL star and “Dancing With the Stars” alum Sapp got more than he barganed for — and a nasty wound — out of a lobstering expedition on Wednesday, when a shark decided to take a bite out of him.

Two Conchs Charters, which operates expeditions in the Florida Keys, chronicled the damage to Sapp via Instagram, noting, ” Warren Sapp attacked by a shark while lobstering,” indicating that the showdown was an “#EpicBattle.”

The company further noted in a Facebook post, “When lobstering you may have to battle a shark for your lobster as Warren Sapp did. Sapp won but the shark got his lick in too.”

Of course, all that shark-battling can make a person hungry, and Sapp offered his own gleeful take on the confrontation via his Twitter account, assuring his followers that not only did he survive the ordeal mostly intact, but he also scored a pretty decent meal.

“Shark got a little chuck of Me. We got Dinner! #Winning,” Sapp wrote.

But in a follow up tweet the conceded: Shark – 1 Me – 0

It’s almost enough to make doing battle on the football field seem like a skip in the park.
