Wang Po-chieh denies causing problems in Japan

3 Mar - Taiwanese actor Wang Po-chieh has recently dismissed rumours of his bad behaviour on the set of his new movie in Japan.

As reported on Liberty Times, tabloids previously claimed to have spoken to an insider of the said movie, who shared that Wang has been a nuisance throughout the filming period in Japan.

The insider claimed that Wang would force the crew to let him use their van to meet with rumoured girlfriend Tiffany Hsu, who was also in Japan for a different project; and would smoke in restricted areas - subsequently injuring a crew's hand when the latter tried to put out the cigarette with his bare hands.

It was also alleged that Wang delayed filming when he injured himself while exercising in his hotel room, and had been rude towards the crew and their Japanese counterpart.

However, when asked about it recently, Wang's manager Zhang stated that they were surprised upon reading the article, since none of those things said about him were true.

"He has his own rental car, so there is no need for him to use the crew's van. He also only smokes in places where he can, and extinguishes the cigarette himself," said Zhang.

As for his injury, Zhang stated that while it was true he was injured, the article had exaggerated the details.

"He trained his body for the sake of the movie. Even though he was injured, he still came to complete his scenes the next day," the manager shared.
