Wang Baoqiang starts 2017 with directorial debut

24 Jan - Wang Baoqiang is starting his 2017 with his directorial debut, "Buddies in India". However, the movie is only one of the many transformations he plans to make throughout the year.

As reported on Tencent, the actor, who made headlines for his messy divorce with wife, Ma Rong last year, previously promised to leave all the sadness in 2016 and to start his New Year with only good things.

The first good thing, as it was revealed recently, is his aforementioned first directorial effort, to be released on the Lunar New Year.

"There was only one thing in 2016. This thing is called "Buddies in India". It will be released [soon] and I would like to express my gratitude to all the people who are close to my heart," he shared online recently.

"Thank you for helping me make my dreams come true, and thank you for being my audience," he added.

In a previous report, Wang also stated that 2016 has been a 'rich year' for him as he experienced a lot of things.

"It was really like a movie. It was really difficult. But I am 'the strongest', from the spirit to the flesh, and I have always believed in myself," he said.

In addition, Wang stated that his resolution is to make a thorough revamp on himself, both in his work and in his personal life.
