Wang Baoqiang has no money for divorce?
18 Aug - Rumours are rife that Chinese actor Wang Baoqiang, who recently filed for divorce against wife Ma Rong, was unable to pay his own legal fees despite owning properties worth millions of yuans.
As reported on CRI News, the actor, who needed to pay RMB240,000 in legal fees, had to be helped by his own legal team in raising the amount for his case.
A source who claimed to be a bank employee disclosed that Wang found his bank account has been cleared out and his money transferred away when he went to the bank to withdraw some cash.
It was alleged that his wife might have something to do with it, since most of his accounts are registered under her name.
It was also reported that nine of his properties were also registered under the name of Ma's parents, while his company assets have been transferred to his agent, Song Zhe, whom he fired for allegedly having an affair with Ma.
Reportedly, his company seal, financial seal, and seal of legal representative have also been missing.
Wang, who married Ma Rong back in 2010, recently went online to announce his intention of divorcing his wife, claiming that she was having an affair with his manager, was hiding and transferring property, and hurting his family members.
