Wang Baoqiang: I look forward to the final judgment
19 Oct - Chinese actor Wang Baoqiang has recently made his first statement online after his court case, thanking the media for their concern about his divorce matters.
As reported on NDTV, the actor, who began his divorce case at the Beijing Chaoyang Court on 18 October, apologised for not being able to speak to the media after the trial, so as not to cause commotion outside the court.
"It was already dark at the time and the court staff persuaded us not to cause any ruckus outside the place, so there is nothing else to do but leave," he explained.
Wang also stated that he couldn't speak to the media since he had another court engagement, one that was filed by his estranged wife Ma Rong against him.
The actor added that he is thankful for all members of the media and friends who came to court and promises to be strong for the length of his divorce trial.
"The court will be fair and deal with the case with just. We look forward to the final judgment," he said.
