Wang Baoqiang divorces wife and fires manager
15 Aug - Chinese actor Wang Baoqiang surprised many recently by announcing that he will divorce his wife of seven years, Ma Rong.
As reported on CRI News, the actor, known for his roles in movies such as "Lost in Thailand" and "Monk Comes Down the Mountain", released the statement via his Weibo account, in which he also revealed that he has fired his manager, Song Zhe.
Accusing his wife of having an affair with Song, Wang stated that both of them have severely destroyed his marriage and family.
Wang also expressed hope that the media will give them some space, especially to their two children and their elderly parents.
On the other hand, his wife had since responded to Wang's statement online, saying that the actor has abandoned his family and friends.
She wrote, "Trying to hide would only make matters worse, the good and the evil each has their truth. Karma will have its turn in due time."
