Wan Meixi lost great role due to laziness
30 Mar - Chinese actress Wan Meixi recently admitted that she could have played a much bigger and meatier role in the hit period drama, "The Legend of Zhen Huan" if not for her laziness.
As reported on Tencent, the actress, who plays a minor role as Consort Xin in the drama, shared in an interview for the first time recently that she actually got hold of the script much earlier than the other actresses.
"But since I was too lazy and not willing to audition, I missed a lot of good roles," she said.
Wan said that according to her past performances, she could have played the evil Consort Hua, the most beloved consort of Emperor Yinzhen who would stop at nothing to ensure his attention would only be towards her.
The role was played by actress Jiang Xin in the drama.
"I didn't expect that by the time I went to audition, the only roles left were Consort Xin Pin and Noble Lady Fu Cha," she said.
However, fans of the show who saw the interview commented that the director made the right decision by casting Jiang Xin in the role.
