Wallace Huo doesn't care about his looks

22 Jul - He may be known for his good looks as much as his acting talent, but according to Taiwanese actor Wallace Huo, being known for his acting would suffice.

As reported on Tencent, the actor who sat down for an interview recently, shared that he has never let his "idol star" label hindered him from trying his hands on meatier roles, which is why he would never say no to changing his appearances to portray his role more effectively.

It was previously reported that Wallace decided to shave his head and go bald for "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace" while filming the drama, rather than use a latex bald cap, in order to make it easier for the make-up department to put on the 18th century-style wig.

"I don't care about my appearance. I am not narcissistic. For me, if my job requires me to do something, I will make sure it's done," he said.

When asked if it's a big sacrifice on his part, Wallace said that he always believed that it's a good decision.

"If it's for work, for something that I like, it doesn't matter much to me," he said.

On the other hand, when asked if he could follow the example of good friend Hu Ge, who took a break from his career to study film-making, Wallace responded, "I can't be like him. I have a family.

"In fact, I have a very comfortable life. There are many ways to take a break from showbiz. Everybody is different. But I respect his choice," he added.
