‘Walking Dead’ Producer Gale Anne Hurd Spends $4.5 Million on Pasadena Condo (EXCLUSIVE)

A communiqué from real estate yenta Yolanda Yakketyyak let us know (and property records do indeed confirm) that powerhouse producer Gale Anne Hurd and action/adventure screenwriter Jonathan Hensleigh shelled out $4.5 million for a suburban-house-sized condominium at the Montana, a swank, newly constructed full-service building in the heart of downtown Pasadena.

Listing details show the penthouse-level apartment was designed with three bedrooms and 3.5 bathrooms in just under 4,300 square feet. A vast combination living/dining room with extra-high ceilings and a fireplace features an entire wall of floor-to-ceiling windows and glass doors that open to a wraparound terrace with mountain and city views.

Well-heeled residents of the plush building pay hefty homeowners association fees — the Hurd-Hensleigh condo carries monthly dues of almost $2,200, according to listing details. But owners are provided a slew of amenities: There’s a lobby attendant, a sumptuously appointed library lounge with a fireplace, a state-of-the-art fitness center with an indoor swimming pool, multiple landscaped outdoor lounging areas, and a secure on-site parking garage.

Hurd, whose long list of credits include the money-minting TV show “The Walking Dead” and the “Terminator” film franchise, previously owned a beachfront house in Malibu that she sold in 1991 to Janet Jackson. With Hensleigh, whose credits include box office blockbusters “Jumanji,” “Armageddon,” and “Die Hard With a Vengeance,” she previously owned a spectacular 13,500-plus-square-foot mansion on just over three manicured acres in one of Pasadena’s most prestigious neighborhoods. In 2007, they sold that place to retired boxer Oscar de la Hoya for $11.5 million.
