Waa Wei and husband end four-year marriage
7 Oct – Taiwanese singer-songwriter Waa Wei has confirmed her divorce from husband and violinist, Christopher Lung.
On 6 October, her agency released a statement regarding the separation, stating that the two parties have decided to end their marriage after much peaceful discussion, and that the relevant procedures have been completed a few days ago.
"At the same time, in order to avoid unnecessary harm to both parties and their families, they will no longer respond to this matter. They thank everybody for the concern and wish each other and everyone the best," the statement added.
Rumours of marital woes sparked last year when the singer stopped following her husband's Instagram account. However, Waa Wei denied it, saying that it was just a normal quarrel between husband and wife.
Nonetheless, it was reported that the two have been living separately since then.
Waa Wei tied the knot with Christopher in October 2018. The two have a son together, born the same year.
