Vivien Yeo says goodbye to "Brutally Young"

19 May – Vivien Yeo recently admitted that she couldn't help but feel sad that her series "Brutally Young" is finally over, especially since it was her last drama with TVB before her recent departure.

As reported on Mingpao, the actress shared several photos of her character Tse Ka Sin on Instagram, saying, "While shooting [this drama], aside from the difficulty of learning the sign language, I also faced a bigger challenge in expressing the inner drama. Every time I cry, I can only express the inner turmoil through my tears and facial expression. Watching the ending, I can't help but cry."

Vivien said that when she first entered showbiz, her acting skills was very poor that she could only describe it as "completing the lines" rather than actual acting. It was not until she spoke to one of her series producers that she realised she has to improve herself.

"One day, a producer said to me, 'Vivien, do you know that whether you perform well or poorly, every scene you play will last forever?' Since then, whenever I receive a role, I will be very attentive and treat each scene as if it was my last scene ever," she said.

She also expressed her gratitude to many people in the same post, including the producer of "Brutally Young" for giving her a role that enabled her to show off her range, the screenwriters for writing a memorable relationship between her character and Joel Chan's Sum King Yat, as well as the actor himself for their great collaboration.

"Thank you, everybody. I hope that "A Sin" has left good memories in your heart," she added.

Last week, the actress surprised many by announcing that she has left TVB for several months, not long after revealing that she has tied the knot and gave birth to her first child.
