Vivien Yeo excited about first big role in TVB drama

5 Jun – Malaysian-born actress Vivien Yeo recently admitted that she is excited to finally play a meatier role in her new TVB drama, "Eighteen Years Later".

As reported on HK01, the actress, who appeared at the press conference of the said drama in TVB City recently, shared that she will play the role of a deaf-mute bar girl who has a secret crush on Joel Chan's gang leader character.

"I have been taking sign language classes in preparation for my role. The producer told me earlier that my movements were a bit too stiff," she said.

However, she assured that her sign language proficiency has been getting better and that she will continue to improve throughout production.

On the other hand, Joel revealed that he has been working hard in the gym so that he could play his role as a gang leader convincingly.

"The most stressful thing for me right now is the knowledge that I will have to take my shirt off in the drama. I had been busy filming earlier, so I didn't have time to train. Luckily, the producer has arranged for those scenes to be shot in the end," he said.

The upcoming drama will begin filming sometime this month.
