Vivian Lai in hospital again for flu treatment
15 Feb – Just as she is preparing for her upcoming concert, Vivian Lai is back in the hospital again, though this time it's for the flu.
As reported on Mingpao, the singer recently posted a photo of her wearing a hospital wristband, saying that even an iron man would have to succumb to medical treatment.
In a conversation with the media, her company rep shared that the singer was admitted on 5 February and was diagnosed with Influenza B.
"She is currently focusing on her medical treatment and has cancelled this week's schedule. We're very grateful to everybody for their blessings and understanding," he said.
The rep also stated that Vivian had been busy preparing for her concert, promotional work, and the recording for her new album, which might be one of the reasons why she eventually caught the flu.
Prior to her latest hospitalisation, Vivian was admitted to undergo surgery in December last year to remove a tumour in her abdomen.
She is set to hold her concert in April.
