Vivian Hsu learns to cherish her downtime
11 Nov - Vivian Hsu recently assured that she is fine and dandy in her first appearance since opening up about her battle with thyroid cancer.
The singer, who appeared at an event on 8 November, told the media that she was worried at first after learning about her condition, but that now "the sky is clearing up after the rain".
She said that she originally thought that her health condition was private and had no intention of making it public, but after the news was accidentally released, she changed her mind and regarded it as a kind of awareness, hoping that people with the same issue will no longer be afraid, and at the same time remind everyone to pay attention to their health.
Vivian said that following her surgery, she resumed her exercise habits and currently still exercises five days a week.
"As long as your heart is strong, any difficulty can be overcome. Exercise is something that can bring you positive energy, and you will feel relaxed and happy after exercise," she said.
Nowadays, the singer said, she has not deliberately reduced her work, but cherishes the moments of relaxation even more.
"Everyone is under a lot of pressure, and I am no exception. Although the lifestyle cannot be changed, it is really important to learn to relax and empty your mind," she added.
