Vivian Chow says current world tour will be her last one

3 Sep - Vivian Chow surprised many recently when she revealed her intention to make her current concert tour her last world tour.

The 56-year-old singer, who kicked off her "A Long and Lasting Love World Tour" in Macau on 1 September, tearfully told audiences at the end of the concert of her plan.

"This tour, I told myself that I would perform with the purest heart and sing for the people who love me. At different stages of life, my pursuits and needs are different. There has been a big change. Every performance of this tour is really a countdown to what should be my last large-scale solo concert," she said.

As fans began to shout "No! No!", Vivian continued, saying that she has to focus on taking care of her health, her family and her cats as she gets older.

"I want to spend more time with them, and I also hope to spend more time with my husband," she added.

However, Vivian assured that the tour being her last one does not mean that she is retiring from showbiz, but that she just wants more time for herself.

"Time flies so fast. If you miss it, you will miss it," she added.

After the Macau stop, Vivian will continue her tour to Guangzhou and other stops in mid-September.
