Vincent Wong doesn't think he has big chance for TV King
21 Sep - Although the jury is still out on this one, fans are confident that actor Vincent Wong can win TV King this year based on his overall performance.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who was praised for his role in "My Unfair Lady", recently won hearts again through his performance as a blind lawyer Man San Hap in "Legal Mavericks".
When asked whether he is confident about his chance at winning both TV King and Most Popular Male Character at the upcoming TVB Anniversary Awards, Vincent responded, "I am thankful for the blessings and encouragement. But I do think this idea is a bit much. I don't think I deserve it."
Vincent shared that winning Most Improved Male Artiste in 2013 has increased his confidence level, but that he would still be happy with just a nomination in the category [of TV King].
As he is also appearing in the upcoming drama, "Heart and Greed", Vincent was asked if he is worried that the votes for him will be divided and making it tough for him to win, to which the actor said, "I will not think about that."
"There are still a lot of good dramas that have yet to air. There will be a lot of strong competition, so I am not going to be overconfident about my chances. But I've read all the messages people sent me, and I'm just happy for their encouragement," he said.
