Vic Sotto and ex-wife support son's candidacy

The former couple joined son Vico's first day of campaigning in Pasig City

29 Mar - It was a happy occasion for Vico Sotto, whose first day of campaigning was attended by parents, Vic Sotto and Coney Reyes.

As reported on PEP News, the younger Sotto, who is running for the post of councilor of the first district of Pasig City, was joined by the veteran star and his ex-wife on 27 March, despite their own busy schedule.

Aside from Sotto and Reyes, socialite Mons Romulo, who is aiming for Congress, also attended the campaign, as well as her brother Roman, the incumbent Pasig City congressman who is planning to run for senate in the May election.

Sotto expressed gratitude that his parents made an effort to join him in Pasig City, saying, "More than a candidate, I feel like a blessed son today."

He also posted a selfie with his father on Instagram, and wrote, "My father arrived in Manila at 4am, but at 9am he still went on a campaign with me."

Meanwhile, Sotto revealed the reason for his decision to team up with the Romulo siblings, saying that he is certain of their loyalty.

"I believe that the most important thing that one needs to have to serve the people is integrity," he said.
