Vanessa Reynauld joins "Sing! China"

7 Aug – Vanessa Reynauld is following the footsteps of Malaysian singer Shila Amzah by spreading her wings to China via singing competition.

The Malaysian singer of Indian-Chinese heritage, who made a name for herself after joining "Ceria Popstar 3" when she was 15, recently confirmed rumours that she has joined "Sing! China" by sharing several photos from the show.

She expressed, "Sing! China 2023, who would've thought? Feels so surreal standing on such a prestigious stage. Thank you all for your support! I'll fight till the end for you guys."

Vanessa also shared a snippet of her performance on Instagram, where she could be heard singing David Wong's "Cheng Zhe Feng", attracting all four judges consisting of Wakin Chau, Joker Xue, Wilber Pan, and Super Junior-M's Henry Lau.

Although she received praises from all the judges, Vanessa finally chose to join Wakin's team, saying that she hopes to improve her singing skills by learning from the legend himself.

Aside from Vanessa, another Malaysian to join the competition is Xair Pang of "STARS Academy 2" fame, who successfully joined Wilber Pan's team after performing the singer's "Mr. R&Beats".
