'Us Weekly' Reports Chris Appleton and Lukas Gage's Divorce Is "Not Amicable"
Celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton and actor Lukas Gage are getting divorced after six months of marriage, news which was announced by TMZ just days after the former couples' wedding was a plot point on Hulu's The Kardashians.
And according to Us Weekly, the vibes are...not the best.
A source tells Us Weekly that “This is not where they wanted this to end up,” adding that the breakup is “not amicable. It will take time for both to get to a place where they can move past this and get on with their lives.”
As for why Chris and Lucas split, the insider says “There was not one thing that led to this decision but several factors."
TMZ previously reported that Chris "beelined it to court on Monday morning" and listed the date of separation as last Friday, citing the classically vague "irreconcilable differences." The outlet also confirmed that the couple did have a prenup, which Kim Kardashian had strongly advised them to get during her The Kardashians.
TMZ also notes that their sources say "this was not an easy decision for Chris to make, but he tried everything he could to make the marriage work and needed to make the best decision for himself moving forward."
As a reminder, Kim Kardashian officiated Lucas and Chris' wedding in Las Vegas, and also flew them on her private jet and surprised everyone with a private concert from Shania Twain. It was a whole (short lived) thing!
