United Airlines Is Offering Big Discounts on Flights to See Taylor Swift in Concert — but You'll Have to Book Fast

United Airlines is in its generous era, with a deal offering 13% off flights just in time for superstar Taylor Swift's return to the United States.
The deal is only available to the first 1,900 customers who book today using the promo code "April19" on the airline's app, United shared with Travel + Leisure. The deal is valid on all economy-class domestic flights between Aug. 21 and Nov. 13.
The special discount aligns with when Swifties can catch one of the singer's concerts in the U.S. and comes hours after Swift dropped a surprise double album at 2 a.m., "The Tortured Poets Department."
Swift will return to the U.S. in October to continue her now infamous Eras Tour, according to the singer's website. The show will have dates in Miami, New Orleans, Indianapolis, and Toronto.
"Turns out it's NOT the end of an era," Swift posted on X last year, the site formerly known as Twitter, about her additional dates.
This isn't United's first dalliance with the world of Swift. The airline capitalized on the superstar's popularity during the Super Bowl by launching flights to Las Vegas for the big game using the names "UA 1989" — for the famous singer's hit album — and "UA 2287," which combined Swift's song "22" with tight end Travis Kelce's jersey number, 87.
The promo is a welcome opportunity for Swift fans to save a little cash since the Swiftie economic effect is very real. In fact, her tour caused hotel prices to rise by more than 100% in some destinations across Europe.
Marriott Bonvoy is also making it easier to see Swift in concert by offering members (and their plus ones) the chance to win tickets to several different shows, including a grand prize to see three concerts across three cities. To win the grand prize, fans must enter online by June 1. Fans hoping to catch Swift in Vancouver can enter by Oct. 9 to win a concert, flight, and hotel package with the company, and fans hoping to catch other shows around the world can enter to win Marriott ticket packages with entry dates varying by city.
