Uniqlo to launch Paul & Joe collection on 29 March

SINGAPORE – Flowers and cats? Count us in for such an aesthetic combination. Fashion retailing giant Uniqlo will launch a UT collaboration collection with Parisian brand Paul & Joe on Monday, 29 March.

The lineup of Uniqlo T-Shirts (UTs) will feature pastel characters and characteristic motifs of the brand, such as chrysanthemums, which are the characteristic of the Paul & Joe brand, and Lily of the Valley, a flower commonly associated with happiness. The brand’s iconic cats will also feature prominently.

Supplementing the UTs are wardrobe essentials such as dresses, blouses, scarves, and pochettes. There are also items for kids and babies for matching with mothers’ outfits. However, the Baby/Toddlers collection will be delayed untill end April.

“This collaboration with UNIQLO came about because their commitment to offering everyday clothing matches my desire to create apparel that finds favour with everyone,” said Paul & Joe founder, Sophie Mechaly, adding that the Japanese company has a quality approach to manufacturing. “For this collection, I want people to coordinate items as they like, whether that’s by mixing plain and patterned pieces or matching patterns. I want to share the joys of spring.”

In the spirit of the collection’s “Joie de Vivre” ("exuberant enjoyment of life" in French), Uniqlo is celebrating all women with a pop-up flower bar at the Orchard Central flagship store in the collection’s launch from 2 to 4 April.

Together with Hello Flowers!, a local social enterprise floral studio, customers can create their own customised flower bouquet with a minimum purchase.

Prices start from S$9.90 for baby leggings to S$79.90 for a dress.

A partial lineup will be carried at Changi City Point, Chinatown Point, City Square Mall, The Seletar Mall and Tiong Bahru Plaza stores. The full lineup will be available at all other Uniqlo stores and online.
