Two And A Half Men Star Angus T. Jones Is Now Bearded And Unrecognisable

‘Two-and-a-Half Men’ has just become a significantly less catchy Three Men.

This, believe it or not, is Angus T. Jones, the child actor who starred in the hit CBS sitcom, alongside Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer, playing Jake, the son of Cryer’s character Alan Harper.

He’s now 22, and was snapped while getting coffee in Venice, California, on Monday this week.

And with the full beard and long hair, he’s virtually unrecognisable from the cute kid of yore.

Jones scored the role when he was just 10-years-old, and stayed in the show for 10 seasons over the space of 10 years.

In 2010, when he turned 17, he was named the highest-paid child actor in the world, after striking a deal worth $7.8 million (£5.3 million) over two series.

That meant he was earning a huge $300,000 per episode (about £204,000).

However, he hit the headlines in 2012, criticising the show because the risque storylines – which included him using marijuana heavily and becoming sexually active – were at odds with his strongly-held religious beliefs.

Appearing in a video on religious website Forerunner Chronicles’ YouTube channel, he urged fans to stop watching the show, adding 'please stop filling your head with filth’.

He later apologised for the remarks, saying that they showed 'a lack of appreciation of the extraordinary opportunity of which I have been blessed’, adding that he didn’t intend to disrespect his co-stars and colleagues on the show.

He quit the show in 2013, after calling himself a 'paid hypocrite’, before appearing once more as a guest star for the final ever episode last year.

After leaving the show, he joined the World Harvest Outreach Church, and since 2014 has been living in Boulder, Colorado, where he attends university.
