Kim Tae-ri’s agency Management MMM said on Wednesday (2 March) that the actress is currently in self-quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19 last week.

She was diagnosed with COVID-19 while filming the drama Twenty Five Twenty One.

Although filming for Twenty Five Twenty One last weekend was cancelled and pushed back, South Korean TV channel TVN said that there should be no changes to the broadcast schedule as they planned to wrap up filming early next week. The drama, which stars Kim and Nam Joo-hyuk, will air as planned.

Management MMM gave a statement regarding Kim’s latest status, explaining that she did her testing before filming for the drama. When the results for both self-test kit and PCR test came back positive on 26 February, Kim, who had received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, immediately halted all scheduled activities.

“At the moment, she is focusing entirely on treatment in self-quarantine, in accordance with the guidelines of government health authorities. She is currently in the recovery stage, and she does not have any particular symptoms,” said the agency.

Twenty Five Twenty One is one of the most buzzworthy K-dramas that is currently airing in Korea and available on Netflix. Today it ranked at No. 10 in Netflix Singapore's daily ranking of shows.
