TVB to investigate the "Come Home Low" yellow glove incident

14 Sep – TVB recently announced that they are conducting an investigation over the "yellow glove" incident that occurred in the latest episode of the broadcaster's long-running series, "Come Home Love - Lo and Behold".

As reported on Mingpao, the 993rd episode of the series - which sees the Hung family cleaning up an office - sparked a controversy recently, after netizens noticed that a pair of yellow cleaning gloves that were hung over a computer monitor was arranged with one glove folded to have only one finger showing while the other showed all five, which many believe signifies the "five demands, not one less" sign symbolic to the Hong Kong independence movement.

It became a trending topic since then, with some netizens joked about how TVB is violating the National Security Act.

In response to the issue, a spokesperson of TVB said, "The footage that was broadcast [last night] was either deliberately done or a coincidence. The company is currently conducting an investigation. If someone was found to have deliberately sabotaged it, we will deal with it in serious manner."

The company also added that they will not accept nor tolerate similar incidents in the future.
