TVB heavily promotes 2013 Miss Hong Kong alumnae

1 Oct - It seems that TVB is heavily promoting its new stars and former 2013 Miss Hong Kong alumnae, now that its top actresses are leaving one by one.

According to Sina news, rumour has it that former Miss Hong Kong 2013 runner-up Sisley Choi will star in four drama series next year, playing the lead actress in three of them, including "Fashion War" and "Peculiar Taste", and second lead in "Speed of Life".

Meanwhile, beauty queen Grace Chan, who has been getting the top star treatment this year with the success of "Raising the Bar" and playing the lead actress in TVB's big budget drama "Captain of Destiny", has two more series in tow for next year – the vampire series, "Blue Veins", and the sequel to 2013 series, "Brother's Keeper".

Second runner-up Moon Lau is also busy filming the new drama, "Heroes of Walled City". Three of her new series, "EU: Overtime Mission", "Blue Veins", and "Angel in the Making", are still waiting for its broadcasting date.

However, this news didn't bode well with Netizens, who stated that the beauty queens are still unprepared to play lead roles, Sisley in particular.
