TVB Executive Sandy Yu unsure of Eric Li's termination

21 Aug - TVB Executive Sandy Yu recently stated that she has no knowledge whether TVB host Eric Li was fired from the company or that he left the company on his own.

As reported on Mingpao, the "Scoop" host made headlines late last year after he was found to be cheating on his wife Crystal with a married woman named Tiffany. He then held a press conference to apologise for his mistake, and revealed that his wife has decided to file for divorce.

Although Eric was suspended by TVB for a few months, it was reported that the company has decided to let him return to his job in June. The TV personality also expressed his intention to reconcile with his wife.

However, Eric sparked controversy yet again last month, when it was reported that he was still in contact with his former lover. Sources claimed that TVB decided to no longer give him another chance, and sacked him just a few months before his contract with the company expires.

When asked about the firing, TVB Executive Sandy Yu stated, "It's not clear to me whether he was dismissed or not. But he did apologise to me and said goodbye."

On the other hand, Eric, who was contacted for comments, said, "I should not respond" before hanging up the phone.
