Tremors 6 is happening, because why not?

It’s official - ‘Tremors 6’ is happening.

Original ‘Tremors’ actor Michael Gross has announced that the monster movie franchise is heading back to the big screen for a sixth instalment.

“IT IS HAPPENING!!! Tremors and Graboid fans, there WILL be a number 6!!!” he revealed via Facebook. “Universal Studios Entertainment announced to me today that this will happen.”

“Can’t divulge too many secrets,” he added, “but to say that Burt Gummer, Jamie Kennedy and director Don Michael Paul will return for another. #TremorsFilm #Graboids #Horror #Monsters #SciFi”

Michael Gross played Burt Gummer in the original ‘Tremors’ - an eccentric survivalist who has since appeared in every ‘Tremors’ movie to date, as well as a short-lived Sci-Fi Channel TV series.

And it looks as though he’s back in ‘Tremors 6’.

But what about the upcoming ‘Tremors’ TV show starring Kevin Bacon?

Back in 2015, it was confirmed that Bacon would star in a new ‘Tremors’ TV show, reprising the role of Val from the first movie. However, it’s unclear whether the show will sit alongside the entire ‘Tremors’ franchise (many of which were direct-to-video sequels) or do something new.

And now the new sequel complicates things even further.

There’s currently no word on whether Kevin Bacon will be involved with ‘Tremors 6’ and it looks as though Michael Gross won’t be appearing in the TV show… as far as he knows.

Either way, ‘Tremors 6’ is coming.
