Travel + Leisure Readers' 15 Favorite Resorts in Greater Miami of 2024
Sandy beaches, top-notch amenities, and world-class dining made these Greater Miami resorts shine in our annual "World’s Best Awards" survey for 2024.
Ask even the most well-traveled individual and they’ll likely say that a trip to the cosmopolitan shores of Miami is always a good idea. From its diverse culture, lively nightlife, and highly rated food scene that continues to grow, you could visit this city a dozen times and never have the same experience. Then there are the hotels, each with their own vibe, that they are a destination within a destination — and worth the visit every time.
How Voting Works
Every year for our World's Best Awards survey, T+L asks readers to weigh in on travel experiences around the globe — to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise ships, spas, airlines, and more. Over 186,000 T+L readers completed the 2024 survey. A total of more than 700,000 votes were cast across over 8,700 properties (hotels, cities, cruise lines, etc.).
Hotels were classified as either resort hotel, city hotel, inn, or safari lodge based on their location and amenities, and they were specifically rated on the criteria below:
Rooms/facilities
Location
Service
Food
Value
For each characteristic, respondents could choose a rating of excellent, above average, average, below average, or poor. The final scores are averages of these responses.
What Readers Loved
T+L readers’ favorite hotels in the greater Miami area offer world class relaxation and bespoke personal touches. At the Nobu Hotel Miami Beach (No. 4), guests enjoy an exclusive beach area, Latin American- and Japanese-inspired cuisine from chef Nobu Matsuhisa, and a staff willing to go above and beyond to make stays memorable. “The personal touch and journey designed by the hotel makes for a once-in-a-lifetime experience,” said one reader.
Two other hotels, 1 Hotel South Beach (No. 14) and The Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne, Miami (No. 10), stood out primarily for the variety of on-site dining and sophisticated atmosphere that the staff provides.
This year’s winning property, however, located along the pristine oceanfront streets of Collins Avenue, provided voters with the best of both worlds. Read on to learn more.
The Winner
The Setai Miami Beach
An immersive oasis for discerning travelers, this property features impeccable decor, such as handmade Swedish Duxiana beds paired with Frette linens. A tranquil spa with tropical views and exclusive treatments like the Majestic Facial, featuring traditional Japanese kobido massage techniques, takes it to the next level. Elsewhere on the property you can take in the sun by one of three pools, indulge in designer shopping and awaken your palate at noteworthy restaurants like Jaya, which serves up wok-crafted curries and their signature Peking Duck. Guests describe the experience as the “ultimate luxury,” “peaceful and zen,” and for one voter, it’s “the best hotel, it’s like home.”
