Capitalizing on the enthusiasm for Netflix show "Stranger Things" is a one-minute teaser for its second season, announced for 2017.

Winona Ryder led an eclectic cast for the eight-episode July 2016 show, which followed the search for a young boy following his mysterious disappearance.

While season one's finale tied up most of its loose ends, it left a tantalizing hint that more was to come from the supernaturally-tinged science fiction horror.

Set in the 1980s and written by Matt and Ross Duffer of "Wayward Pines" and "Hidden," season one was executive produced and directed by Shawn Levy of the "Night at the Museum Trilogy."

It channeled some of the motifs made famous by writers and directors of the time, including Stephen King, Steven Spielberg, and John Carpenter.

The Duffer brothers return, as does Shawn Levy in a production capacity, while Variety indicates that the second season will run for 8 episodes rather than the original's 9.
