New in town: Twenty Loaf Toasties — Bee Cheng Hiang opens toast shop with floss & bak kwa in Northpoint City

Most Singaporeans are familiar with Bee Cheng Hiang, a brand known for its products like bak kwa and pork floss. Well, it has recently expanded its reach by opening a new takeaway toast shop, Twenty Loaf Toasties, in Yishun.

Twenty Loaf Toasties is located in the basement of Northpoint City, right next to Don Don Donki. You’ll easily spot it when you look out for its bright yellow signages.

The store specialises in grilled toasts, affectionately named “toasties”, which are meant to be localised versions of Japanese sandos. Each toastie is stuffed with a variety of premium ingredients, including Bee Cheng Hiang’s own bak kwa and floss!

The toasties are made with buttered bread slices and are grilled in a sandwich press, giving them super crispy and aromatic flavours.

The toasties are cut into 4 bite-sized squares, and are sold as halves (2 pieces) or wholes (4 pieces), with prices ranging from S$4.50 to S$8 for halves and S$8 to S$14 for wholes. Prices are a little steep, but the generosity of the ingredients make up for it.

The store currently offers 4 flavours of toasties, with the Cheesy Bakkwa Toastie (S$7 for half, S$12 for whole) being their signature product. This indulgent creation combines fluffy pork floss, sweet bak kwa and stretchy cheese into one. Another similarly tantalising creation is the Truffle Mushroom Toasties (S$8 for half, S$14 for whole), filled with umami mushrooms and truffle sauce, plus pork floss and cheese.

Craving something a little zestier? Check out the Avocado Toasties (S$7 for half, S$12 for whole), which combines the refreshing, savoury flavours of avocado with sweet pork floss. An extra squeeze of lemon makes this creation a little more tangy.

Finally, enjoy the classic Rendang Chicken Toasties (S$4.50 for half, S$8 for whole), filled with tender and aromatic rendang chicken.
