New in town: Maggie King — Fried instant noodles in flavours like XO & mala topped with pork cutlet or crab

Residents of Boon Keng, you may have spotted a new stall in your neighbourhood which gives off the same vibes as King Of Fried Rice. Named Maggie King, this new kopitiam stall which officially opened to the public on 15 Dec 2023, is set up by 30-year-old Richmond.

Prior to opening his first business, Richmond used to work together with the King Of Fried Rice founder, Lester.

Richmond shared, “About 10 years ago, we trained under the same shifu and I got the idea of my stall’s concept from Lester.”

As the name suggests, Maggie King sells a variety of fried instant noodles in 4 enticing flavours like Tom Yum, Mala, XO Sauce and Specialty, a special recipe sauce. Well, I don’t know about you, but instant noodles, despite their unhealthy nature, always hold a special place in my foodie heart.

Meat lovers, try the Pork Cutlet (S$6.30 for Specialty, S$7 for Tom Yum, S$7 for Mala, S$7.30 for XO) and Chicken Cutlet (S$6.30 for Specialty, S$7 for Tom Yum, S$7 for Mala, S$7.30 for XO). Both meat options are marinated in Richmond’s secret recipe, similar to the Specialty flavour.

So, if you’re an instant noodle fan like me, drop by Maggie King for the many interesting flavours and let me know if they taste better than fried rice!
