For the uninitiated, cart noodles are a noodle dish that became popular in Hong Kong and Macau in the 1950s. Using carts, this was operated by street vendors on roadsides and in public housing estates in low-income areas.

During its inception, the noodles were considered “cheap and nasty” because of their low cost as well as poor hygiene standards when preparing the ingredients. Typically, there aren’t any fixed noodle sets, instead, customers choose from a variety of toppings, noodle types and even soup broths.

Little Cart Noodle House doesn’t stray away from the pick-your-own toppings concept of its Hong Kong counterpart. For starters, you can opt for homemade broth or have your noodles dry. There’s also a spice level of Standard, Less Spicy or Non-Spicy to choose from.
