New in town: Five Foot Lane — Indonesian restaurant in Funan Mall serves smashed fried chicken & beef rendang burger

Here’s a new spot for you to get your Indonesian food fix when you’re in the city. Five Foot Lane is a newly opened restaurant in Funan Mall, serving dishes inspired by street hawkers in Jakarta.

Five Foot Lane serves a variety of dishes like beef rendang and pork satay, and also offers sides and stir-fried vegetables.

Try Five Foot Lane’s Grilled Beef Ribs with Rice (S$14), which also comes with assorted vegetables, thinly sliced egg omelette and fish crackers, or opt for the Signature Beef Rendang with Rice (S$13). The Signature Beef Rendang Burger (S$13), on the other hand, is served in a brioche bun with a side of shoestring fries.

Chicken fans, why not try the Smashed Fried Chicken with Rice (S$12) or Grilled Chicken Bumbu Padang with Rice (S$12)? The Curry Chicken (S$11) is another option, and comes with the choice of steamed rice or bread.

Five Foot Lane also offers pork dishes, like the Pork Satay (S$12.50 for three pieces), served with either steamed rice or rice cake, Slow-cooked Pork Belly Rice Bowl with Sambal Rica (S$13.50), and Slow-cooked Pork Ribs with Rice (S$13.50).

If you prefer seafood, try Five Foot Lane’s fish and rice dishes, like the Fried Pomfret Fish with Rice (S$14), Grilled Pomfret Fish with Rice (S$14) or Fried Dory Fish with Sambal Matah and Rice (S$11).

Indomie lovers may be excited about Five Foot Lane’s assortment of Indomie dishes, like Indomie Gacoan (S$9.50), served with toasted chicken crumbs, Indomie Goreng with Pork Satay (S$13), Indomie with Pork Belly Sambal Rica (S$14) and Indomie with Smashed Fried Boneless Chicken (S$14).
