New in town: Famous Korean fried chicken with aged sauces opens first SG store
It’s no secret that some of the best authentic Korean food in Singapore can be found along Tras Street at Tanjong Pagar. Fans of Korean fried chicken will be pleased to hear that famous Korean fried chicken restaurant Doran Chicken is coming to Orchard Gateway.
Serving up Daegu-style Korean fried chicken, Doran Chicken gives you an authentic taste of Korea with their traditional flavours. What makes this establishment so unique is that its sauces undergo an ageing process.
The various sauces are aged for 7 days in low-temperature traditional Korean pots known as onggi, which gives them a deeper, richer flavour.
The fried chicken at Doran Chicken comes in 4 different flavours: Original Fried, 1978 Soy Sauce, Dalcom Spicy and Sweet Volcano. Can’t decide? You can also savour 2 flavours at once with their half-half option. Diners can indulge in Doran Wings & Drumette (10pcs for S$23.80 & 20pcs for S$44.80).
Another unique menu item to keep your eyes peeled for is their Flat Dumplings with Sweet & Spicy Squid Salad (S$17.80). The thin, flat dumplings filled with glass noodles and vegetables are quite the delectable bite of Korean flavours.
Side dishes include Garlic Cheese Sriracha Corn Fritters (S$9.80) or the Sincheon Tteokbokki (S$12.80)!
Their official grand opening is on 23 Oct. Save yourself a trip to Tanjong Pagar and head down to Doran Chicken after a long day of shopping to savour an authentic Korean dining experience.
