New in town: Cafe Margaret — Beautiful Korean cafe that’ll transport you to Seoul

Popular Korean cafe, Cafe Margaret, has opened its very first overseas outlet at Bali Lane, a stone’s throw from Bugis!

I almost thought the Instagram algorithm had played me yet again by showing places in Korea and Japan. But this time, this beautiful spot is actually in Singapore.

This cafe looks like it was taken right out of Pinterest and has the most beautiful layout and interior imaginable. Akin to a typical two-storey style cafe in Korea, it boasts a first floor where you can pick your pastries before paying, and a second floor where you can unwind.

The cafe will really transport you to a different time and space.

On the first floor, the cafe’s delectable treats are laid out for your perusal: take your pick from their wide array of beautiful, Instagrammable creations. Vintage decor also adorns the entire first floor, adding to the extremely homely atmosphere.

You can then head up to the cosy seating area on the upper floor that is filled with cottagecore-inspired furnishing. There’s even a glass chandelier suspended from the ceiling that adds to the rustic feel!

It seems that the top picks at Cafe Margaret would be their signature Margaret Cube Pie. The adorable cube-shaped pastries come in a wide variety of flavours like Nutella and Vanilla.

Don’t miss out on their bestselling Matcha Cream Cube Pie (S$8.30) and Injeolmi Cube Pie (S$8.30); they sell out fast. As an injeolmi lover, I know I’ll be making a beeline for those.

The cafe also has plenty of other enticing treats like their Peanut Butter Cookie (S$4.90) — just look at its adorable face! The Redvelvet Creamcheese Cookie certainly looks appealing. It has baked cheesecake crowning the centre of the soft-baked cookie.

Head down to Cafe Margaret for your dose of Korean cafe culture on our little red dot and unwind at this charming joint.
