New in town: Cafe Limonci — Hidden industrial cafe with Oolong Osmanthus flavoured gelato and Rwandan coffee at Oxley Bizhub
The cafe scene in Singapore has often been seen as a place where both the sense of taste and sight are placed in prominence. Cafe Limonci, a new cafe which soft-launched on 5 Feb 2023, understood that assignment perfectly. Located at a hidden spot in Oxley Bizhub, the cafe is set to officially open in Mar 2023.
Cafe Limonci initially started out as a passing idea 2 years ago. Its unorthodox location— being surrounded by offices in the Tai Seng area— plays into Cafe Limonci’s goal of providing a place where people could rest and do their work in a peaceful environment, especially with free Wi-Fi!
Even its name, Limonci, is a mishmash of the word “lemon” in different languages, and aims to evoke the refreshing feeling from a glass of ice-cool lemonade. Its soft launch menu also aims to reflect the feeling of revitalisation.
To accompany your work or resting session, Cafe Limonci has coffee that uses exclusively supplied beans straight from Rwanda. Your coffee options include Espresso (S$3.50), Dirty Matcha (S$7), Mocha (S$6) and Dirty Chai (S$7).
There are also non-coffee options such as Matcha Latte (S$6) and the refreshing citrus-based Iced Lemon Ginger Ade (S$5) and Iced Matcha Yuzu Ade (S$5).
For desserts, they have a gelato kiosk with flavours such as Lemon Curd Thyme, Yuzu Hojicha Lavender, Oolong Osmanthus and Tahitian Vanilla Bean. A Single Scoop is at S$4 whilst a Double goes for S$7.50.
You can pair them with Waffles (S$6), have them on a Floatmonci (S$9) or an Affogato (S$8).
You can definitely expect more items when they’ve officially launched. Word on the street is that brunch items, along with familiar citrusy and zesty flavours, are currently in the works!
