New in town: Adam Road Mee Soto — Popular mee soto stall opens new eatery at Raffles Place

Malay cuisines are sort of an anomaly in the CBD area. You hardly ever see them, and if you do, it’s probably located in a hawker centre or one of those stalls from Kopitiam. Well, those days are over with the launch of Adam Road Mee Soto in CIMB Plaza.

If the name rings a bell, then you’re probably aware of Warung Pak Sapari, aka one of Singapore’s best mee soto and mee rebus located at Adam Road Food Centre. This hawker stall has been in business since 1974!

One of the founders of Adam Road Mee Soto is the owner of Warung Pak Sapari, and this new eatery, which opened on 13 Oct 2022, was formed when the current owners realised that there was a lack of Malay food available in the Raffles Place area.

Those who might doubt the authenticity of its Mee Soto (S$5.80) and Mee Rebus (S$5.80) can rest easy as they will be using the soup paste created and sold by Warung Pak Sapari. You’ll definitely be in for a treat at this new eatery, as my experience at Warung Pak Sapari was a wonderful one.

The Mee Soto comes with shredded chicken and begedil (potato patty). You also have the choice of yellow noodles or bee hoon. Similarly, the Mee Rebus comes with an egg and begedil.

There are several new items on the menu such as the Nasi Lemak Chicken Wing set (S$5.80), Mee Goreng (S$3), Laksa Goreng (S$3) and Mee Siam Goreng (S$3.90). There also snacks such as Goreng Pisang (S$2), Curry Puff (S$1.50) and an assortment of Kuih (S$2).
