New in town: 24-hr Swee Choon Tim Sum outlet to open at Changi T2 end Sep

We all know Swee Choon Tim Sum as the go-to spot for guaranteed good dim sum, but this knowledge is strictly within our local sphere. Slated to open at the Arrival Hall of Changi Airport Terminal 2 in late Sep, their new outlet will soon open foreign eyes to Singapore’s very own slice of Hong Kong and Shanghai without hopping on another flight.

Whether you’re a homesick traveller missing the familiar taste of dim sum or a hungry local desperate for a midnight snack, the restaurant’s 70-seat capacity and 24/7 opening hours mean you won’t have to fret over spontaneous hunger pangs.

Say, unlike most (if not all Singaporeans), you tire of the typical dim sum menagerie; what could possibly convince you to pay their Changi branch a visit? Perhaps some exclusive menu offerings will shake that disenchantment.

To spruce up the experience at this new outlet, Swee Choon Tim Sum’s Changi branch will be introducing Hong-Kong style wanton noodles and differing renditions of cheong fun like fried dough rice rolls and fried prawn rice rolls to their already expansive list. On top of that, they are collaborating with local artisanal ice cream producer, Creamier, to conceive Hong Kong milk tea gelato as part of the exclusivities.

To celebrate the inauguration of this remarkable 24-hour outlet, the first 600 patrons to spend a minimum of S$10 will receive a limited edition NETS card preloaded with S$5.

Easties can look forward to adding another late-night supper spot to their list. For all the accolades and over 60-year history, Swee Choon Tim Sum remains absent from the North and West of Singapore. Let’s hope they’re making similar plans for these regions in the not-so-distant future.
