This Grade II listed cottage in Swaffham Bulbeck, Cambridge – which was originally mentioned in the Doomsday Book – has just entered the property market for £1.8 million.
Initially built in the 13th century, Lordship Cottage has quite the history. Not only was it mentioned in the Doomsday Book but it was originally built as a chapel in the time of the crusaders, with the twice Nobel prize winner Frederick Sanger (known for discovering insulin) living in the same village.
