Contemplating relocating to a different city for work or a change of pace? A new study has revealed the most desirable UK cities to move to.

Using Google search data, the home insurance team at Compare the Market have compiled the top 10 cities that Brits would consider upping sticks to.

It’s perhaps unsurprising that London comes out on top, receiving an average of 36,880 searches per month, with related searches including ‘move to London’ and ‘where to live London'. With its vibrant cultural and food scene, the UK’s capital is ideal for anyone who wants to embrace the fast-paced hustle and bustle of living in a major city.

Derby, located on the banks of the River Derwent in Derbyshire, takes second place, while Stoke-on-Trent is close behind. Sunderland, a port city in Tyne and Wear, rounds off the list.
