Tony Liu keeps mum about divorce proceedings
10 Mar – Hong Kong actor Tony Liu is mum about his current status, after announcing last year that he and younger wife Huang Liyan are calling it quits.
As reported on Mingpao, the actor who has been staying in Hong Kong with his two sons due to COVID-19, shared that he avoided talking about the divorce as he didn't want it to affect his children.
"I am worried that it would make them unhappy. I am also almost 70 and Huang is only in her 30s. I understand. It doesn't matter," he added.
Tony, who had been married thrice now, stated that he has no plans to marry again.
"The most important thing right now is to have a job. I will make more effort to cultivate the younger generation and take care of the children," he said.
Tony married Huang in 2007, seven years after ending his eight-year marriage to Eva Lai. Prior to the two women, he was married to '80s actress Tai Liang Chun.
