Tony Leung nominated for Best Actor at Hong Kong Film Awards again

8 Feb - He may have won five times at the Hong Kong Film Awards, but it doesn't mean Tony Leung Chiu Wai is nonchalant about his latest nomination.

As reported on Mingpao, the actor, who is nominated for his performance in "The Goldfinger", shared with the media that he is happy about being nominated for his performance in the movie as a character that is based on Carrian Group founder George Tan.

"Thank you to everyone who voted for me. Congratulations to all the nominees," he added.

Tony will be facing competition from the likes of Dayo Wong ("A Guilty Conscience"), Lo Chun Yip ("Time Still Turns the Pages"), Da Peng ("Dust to Dust") and Bowie Lam ("In Broad Daylight").

For the record, Tony has won HKFA Best Actor five times for "Chungking Express" (1995), "Happy Together" (1998), "In the Mood for Love" (2001), "Infernal Affairs" (2003), and "2046" (2005).

He also won Best Supporting Actor twice at the said event for "People's Hero" (1988) and "My Heart is that Eternal Rose" (1990).
