Tong Yao ties the knot in Italy

7 Oct – Chinese actress Tong Yao has tied the knot in Italy.

As reported on Epoch Times, the actress, known for her role as Gao Xiyue in the period drama, "Ruyi's Royal Love in the Palace", confirmed reports of the wedding after photos from the ceremony were leaked by the media on 2 October.

Sources stated that Tong and husband Wang Ran held their wedding at an old castle in Rome, Italy on 30 September.

Wang Ran is a 51-year-old CEO of an investment company, and has been dating the 34-year-old actress since 2013.

Prior to Wang Ran, Tong was rumoured to be dating Zhang Guoli's actor son, Zhang Mo.

China launched a new amphibious assault ship Friday, capable of launching fighter jets and designed to strengthen the navy's combat ability in distant seas.
