Tom Hiddleston is this year’s recipient of the “Rear of the Year” award!

2016 is definitely shaping up to be Tom Hiddleston’s year. His role in the BBC miniseries The Night Manager won him massive critical acclaim and his first ever Emmy nod for Best Actor in a Limited Series. He’s one-half of Hollywood’s newest power-couple (long live Hiddleswift, y’all). And now, even his headline-making backside has been deemed award-worthy — he’s been named Britain’s “Rear of the Year.”

“Rear of the Year” is a ~super~ illustrious award “for celebrities who are considered to have a notable posterior.” A publicity consultant named Tony Edwards initially founded the award to promote jeans, which, honestly, is a *genius* PR move. The award has been around for decades — the first named noteworthy rear was EastEnders star Dame Barbara Windsor’s in 1976.

Initially, the award was only given to women, and a full ten years went by before the award-givers recognized that men had notable posteriors, too. Only British celebs that possess “prize-winning rear assets” are eligible to win the award, and, according to The Sun, the award winners were picked from among the more than 10,000 votes cast by the public via the contest’s website between July 2015 and June 2016. That’s a lot of butts.

Tom won the prize for his rear’s performance in the same The Night Manager role that got him an Emmy nomination. And for good reason–Tom had *ample* opportunity to show off his award-winning assets in steamy sex scenes with his co-star Elizabeth Debicki. In fact, the noteworthy nude scene was apparently so intense that it was cut out of American airings. For that, we American viewers shake our fists at you, AMC.

Obviously, Twitter is super excited that Taylor Swift’s newest love took home the top tush prize. The Avengers actor is one of the collective Internet’s #1 boyfriends, after all.

Tom shares the 2016 Rear of the Year mantle with Jennifer Metcalfe, an English actress known for her years-long role on the popular British soap Hollyoaks. He follows fellow male winners including 2010’s Ricky Whittle, the star of the upcoming American Gods; Captain Jack Harkness himself, John Barrowman, in 2012; and last year’s winner, Daniel Radcliffe. Your butt’s in great company, Tom, and I’m sure T-Swift is very proud of her boo and his rear.
