Japan’s Starbucks have some of the most interesting decor, such as the one in Kyoto with tatami floor seating, the one in Saitama with its own zen garden, and of course the Starbucks Reserve Roastery Tokyo which is the biggest outlet in the world. The latest addition to these stunning outlets is situated in a greenhouse at Yomiuriland’s Hana Biyori, a flower park.

With “New lifestyle with coffee” as the design concept, this botanical cafe is filled with warm sunlight, colourful flowers and mind-calming greenery, giving you an out-of-the-ordinary coffee-sipping experience. Depending on where you sit, there is always a different and refreshing view.

If you visit during the sakura season, you can even catch the pretty light pink blooms outside this greenhouse Starbucks. If you are lucky enough, you might experience snowfall like in Hana Biyori’s Instagram post above! Apparently, Hana Biyori is home to flowers from all four seasons, so regardless of when you visit, you will be able to experience each season to its fullest.

In the middle of the greenhouse, there is an 8m-long aquarium full of mesmerising fish from Okinawa. Coupled with the sound of flowing water and Muji-style furniture, it sure is a good place to relax and unwind. During the night time, the aquarium will light up in a mystic blue, illuminating its surroundings with a cool tone — a stark contrast from its day look.

Although it all seems very fascinating, one thing to note is you will have to pay 1,200 yen (about S$16) to enter Hana Biyori to get to this unique Starbucks outlet.
