Toccin Celebrates Splashy Times Square Billboard and Major Business Milestones

Toccin’s Big Week: This week, Toccin, the women’s fashion brand for classic knitwear, dresses, jackets and “essential” styles, opened a Seventh Avenue showroom, launched at Bloomingdale’s, picked up Bergdorf Goodman as an account, and turned on a splashy and huge electronic billboard in Times Square.

So what was left to do? Party at La Goulue of course. “It’s all been very exciting,” said Michael Toccin, cofounder and co-owner of Toccin Apparel Holdings LLC, along with his wife Alex Toccin. “Our collections are growing. We’re really making sure we are wardrobing our customer.”

The Toccins and Bloomingdale’s threw the party Thursday night, celebrating the brand’s launch at the store. After dinner, the mix of 60 or so influencers, customers, media, Toccin and Bloomingdale’s executives took to the dance floor, shaking it up and raising the volume with tambourines distributed courtesy of the Toccins. “There was so much energy in the room,” said Denise Magid, Bloomingdale’s chief merchant. “We are so happy to celebrate Toccin’s official launch at Bloomingdale’s. The collection adds a unique edge to our apparel assortment, filling a void in the market for accessible modern sophistication.”

Toccin’s billboard, which appeared on the southwest corner of 43rd Street and Seventh Avenue, was in two sections, one 169 feet tall by 18 feet wide, topped by another 93 feet in height, 79 feet wide. “It was monumental. Social media blew up,” Toccin said, suggesting it pays to advertise, particularly outdoors.

Earlier in the week, the 5,800-square-foot Toccin showroom, at 550 Seventh Avenue, opened. “It feels like you are walking into our home on the upper East Side,” said Toccin. “Before, we operated out of a shared work space. It was time to graduate to a real space.”
