The Time Post Malone Lost a $600,000 DiamondNORMAN JEAN ROY

We've all lost something before. Phone, wallet, keys. It's an awful feeling. But a $600,000 diamond?! Unimaginable. Although, I wouldn't even know what to do with such a jewel if I had one—but I certainly wouldn't lose it! The same can't be said for musician Post Malone, who bit into some chicken in Rome and saw his $600,000 diamond fang fall right out of his mouth. (That must have been some rock-hard chicken.) Even worse, one of the two diamonds embedded in his tooth didn't land on the ground. It went right down the sewer drain.

"I had the left one in my hand, and I dropped it right into the sink hole,” Post Malone recalls in Esquire's latest cover story. "I’m like, ‘Fuck, man, I’m going to have to go into the ancient Roman sewers.’” According to the "Rockstar" and "White Iverson" singer, he crafted a scooping device from of a pair of pliers and a takeout-pizza tripod. Miraculously, it worked. Later on, a Roman dentist drilled that expensive rock right back in his mouth.

To commemorate the event, Malone named his 2022 album Twelve-Carat Toothache, featuring hits such as "One Right Now" with The Weeknd and "I Like You (A Happier Song)" with Doja Cat. Next up? "Everybody comes up to me like, ‘When are you doing a country album?'" he muses. Malone even almost collaborated with Bob Dylan. Whatever it is, I'm sure those twelve-carat diamonds will help make those hits go platinum.
